Our experience with Jacob and Mr. Sun was great in every way. First let me discuss our driver, Mr. Sun. The traffic in Beijing is scarry. However, we felt safe at all times. No speeding at any time. Never any waiting for the car when we left a location. It was always waiting for us. Car was clean and always had a fresh bottle of cool water. We very much appreciated their coming the night before the tour so that they could be there first thing.

With regard to Jacob, it was a pleasure having him as our guide. He was able to answer all questions at every venue. Frankly, we did not expect to find someone so personable and knowledgeable. He takes his job very seriously and did everything he could to accomodate all of our requests. He made sure we saw everything in which we were interested. I cannot give him a higher rating. For any of our friends traveling to Beijing it will be our pleasure to give our recommendation for Jacob's services.

As for the restaurants we visited we were also very pleased especially the Jade restaurant on the way to the Great Wall. We also had lunch near the Summer Palace. Good buffet, fast and clean. Our hotel was also very lovely. We did have a problem with the air conditioning in our room but the hotel movered our room quickly without any questions.

A special comment on our trip to the Great Wall. The suggestion to go to the location with the aerial tram was a wise decision. As it had snowed the night before it was beautiful. Virtually no one else was there. I was able to take all of my pictures without interference. The trip to Tiamennan Square was interesting. And, of course, the visit to the Forbidden City and Summer Palace were spectacular.

Hi Tony,

  I think I can speak for both Joseph and myself in that we all had a great time thanks to all of your and Kitty's hard work!  The tour itself was great, I know my parents enjoyed every bit of it, I certainly did.  The highlight of the trip, especially for my mom, was the visit to the Hu Tong.  I know the National Performing Center was on the original agenda and that would have been nice to see but for it being closed but it worked out excellently in the end.  Our thanks to you and Kitty for making this last minute arrangement which turned out to be the highlight of the tour.
 
Please convey our thanks and appreciation to Kitty who was very patient and kind towards our elderly parents and to our driver who had to deal with the BJ traffic. Everything else, food, scheduling, etc., was perfect, we couldn't ask for anything more.
